The humble avocado. They are one of the most beautifying foods on the planet, thanks to their free-radical destroying antioxidants and essential fatty acids, which help keep skin plump and smooth.
Chef Cynthia Louise has outdone herself (again) with this taste explosion of a recipe. And did we mention healthy? It’s also so good for you—and the kids will love it!

RAW AVOCADO PIE
Base
- 1 cup psyllium husk
- 1 cup of desiccated coconut
- 1 cup of soaked cashews
- 10 dates
- pinch of salt
Method
Combine all ingredients into a food processor until sticky. Press into seven tart tins, or one medium tart tin.
For the Filling
- 4 avocados
- 5 tbsp of maple syrup (add a little more if not sweet enough)
- 3 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 60 grams of cacao butter, melted
- pinch of salt
Method
Add the filling ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smooth. Then, add the filling to your tart shell and place it in the fridge until it sets. It should take about 2 hours.
Making pies are so simple it’s ridiculous. this particular sweet avocado pie, I have for breakfast or dessert. Every time I eat this I feel like it’s so naughty — but clearly it’s not! It serves every part of your organs in such a profound way! This is what nature requires from you.
